The Centro Nacional de Investigación sobre la Evolución Humana (CENIEH) has formalized its institutional collaboration with the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology (IVPP) in Beijing, whose main objective is the joint research of human fossils at the most emblematic sites of Pleistocene in mainland China, among which are the sites of Panxian Dadong, Hexian and Yiyuan.
A a result of this collaboration Late Middle Pleistocene hominin teeth from Panxian Dadong, South China has just being published in the Journal of Human Evolution. This paper is focused on the human teeth fossils from the Middle Pleistocene site of Panxian Dadong, barely known, as there was not any systematic and rigorous studies until now.
