Tim Schuurman is a Biology graduate from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where he focused on animal behaviour, evolution and anthropology. He also collaborated at the university’s physical anthropology laboratory, which drove him to further his academic training with a Master of Science in Human Evolution and Behaviour at University College London. For his Master’s Thesis he created a computational model to explore the conditions which promoted the evolution of the human brain. Since 2021, thanks to the programme of research grants of the Fundación Atapuerca, he is conducting his doctoral thesis on the applications of network analysis on craniocerebral topology and human evolution at CENIEH.
