Antonio Pineda holds a PhD in Quaternary and Prehistory from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili of Tarragona. He has developed his career in leading institutions such as the Institut Català de Paleoecologia Humana i Evolució Social (IPHES-CERCA), the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), and the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle (MNHN) in France.
A specialist in Zooarchaeology and Taphonomy, his research focuses on the study of open-air sites from the Early and Middle Pleistocene. He is currently working as a Research Support Technician in the project “Paleolithic and Holocene of the inland Iberian Peninsula in the karst sites of Tamajón (Guadalajara)”.
