Miren del Val is the Luminescence Laboratory Technician at CENIEH since 2017. After graduating in geography (2011) and completing a MSc. on Quaternary environmental changes (2012), she does a PhD thesis in the Mineralogy and Petrology Department of the University of the Basque Country. Her main research interest is the Quaternary evolution of the fluvial valleys in the eastern Cantabrian margin (north of Spain). Her work is focused on GIS and teledetection analysis, cartography and geomorphology, and geochronology, especially trapped charge dating methods such as Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) and Optically Stimulated Luminiscence (OSL).
