Oswaldo is a geologist with a strong theoretical-practical background in fluvial geomorphology, active tectonics, Quaternary geochronology, basin analysis, petroleum geology and seismic interpretation. Oswaldo worked in Venezuelan national oil company (PDVSA) as Hydrocarbon Exploration Geologist. During his PhD, he focused in Fluvial geomorphology and “in situ” Cosmogenic dating. He acquire and use surface and subsurface geologic and geomorphologic field data to conduct research in fluvial dynamic, geochronology, paleoseismology, petroleum geology, paleoclimatology and Geohazards. Oswaldo was Aggregate Professor of Simón Bolívar University at Venezuela during 8 years, where he was teaching Geomorphologhy, Quaternary Geochronology, Petroleum Geology and Seismic Interpretation for Bachelor and Master Degree. Since 2017, he is working at CENIEH as Laboratory Technician of the Cosmogenic and Electro Spin Resonance dating. Oswaldo got a Master Degree on Earth Science at USB in 2008. He also got a PhD degree in 2013 at the Grenoble University in France.
