Raquel Hernando holds a BS in Biology from the University of Salamanca, a MS in Biological Anthropology from the University of Barcelona and she completed her European Doctorate in Quaternary and Prehistory at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Tarragona) in December 2022. Her research focused on the analysis of dental microwear as an indicator of diet in farming groups from the Late Prehistory in the Iberian Peninsula. Raquel has established an extensive international collaborative network through research stays at the University College of Dublin (Ireland) and the University of Bordeaux (France). Additionally, she actively participates in the Stone Tools, Diet & Sociality (S.D.S) project from the University of Calgary (Canada). Currently, Raquel Hernando holds a Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral fellowship at the National Center for Research on Human Evolution (CENIEH) and will collaborate on the ERC-Tied2Teeth project led by Leslea J. Hlusko.
