Dr. Martínez de Pinillos holds a degree in Humanities in the field of Historical Heritage and obtained the International PhD in Dental Anthropology from the University of Burgos, the University of Oviedo and the University of Alcalá. She obtained a Juan de la Cierva-Incorporación in 2020 and currently holds a postdoctoral contract at the National Center for Research on Human Evolution (CENIEH), within the ERC-Tied2Teeth project led by Leslea J. Hlusko.
She has developed her research career at CENIEH under the supervision of Professor José María Bermúdez de Castro and Dr. María Martinón-Torres and is a member of the Atapuerca Research Team since 2004. For years she has participated in events for the dissemination of science to society, giving workshops, lectures and seminars both in Spain and abroad. In 2014, she promoted the Ratón Pérez Project for collecting deciduous teeth, currently coordinating national and international collection campaigns and managing the Ratón Pérez Collection.
