Uranium-Series

The Uranium-Series laboratory is one of the pillars of the Geochronology field at CENIEH. Its main objective is to conduct research work and implement services involving elemental and isotopic analyses on different types of material. This laboratory is freely available to the Scientific and Business Community and to Society in General, by offering several technical services from carrying out physical and chemical analyses or consulting and training services to participation and collaboration in research projects.

The laboratory is part of the CENIEH's outstanding facilities, so it can be accessed through Competitive Access calls through the User Office.

It is formed by a number of facilities such as a metal-free Clean Room and two measuring rooms, where there are several high-resolution plasma spectrometers. There are two functional working areas: uranium-series dating and elemental and isotopic analysis.
