An international group of scientists working in Africa has initiated the website African Origins (africanorigins.science) that enables the international community to showcase current research on human origins and human evolution in Africa and serves as a meeting point for archaeologists, geologists and paleontologists specialized in Africa.

The portal reponds to the demand from the worldwide Africanist research community to connect, e.g. by enabling researchers to exchange ideas and opinions, post their upcoming events and other related news, upload images and videos, subscribe to a feed of latest publicactions and to share links to blogs and other sites of interest related to the subject.

This portal is launched by the Centro Nacional de Investigación sobre la Evolución Humana (CENIEH).
