The CENIEH at the IV International Experimental Archaeology Conference

The IV edition of the International Experimental Archaeology Conference, which is being held at the Museo de la Evolución Humana in Burgos this week has counted with the participation of a group scientists from the CENIEH. Dr. Joseba Rios has opened the Session on Technical and Technological Experimentation with a lecture entitled “Establishment of an experimental framework for the recognition of technical production and use stigma on basalt”.

 

Other lectures are: “Estudio integrado de arqueomagnetismo, propiedades magnéticas y espectroscopia Raman de calizas quemadas experimentalmente del yacimiento paleolítico de Pinilla del Valle (Madrid)” by Susan Jorge Villar, Laura Sánchez-Romero, Theo Karampaglidis and Alfredo Pérez-González.

 

The CENIEH researchers Ana Mateos and Jesús Rodríguez are participed in two communciations: "Bioenergy of gathering in lactating females at Sierra de Atapuerca. An experimental design" and "Energy cost of lithic raw material catchment at Sierra de Atapuerca. An experimental project"  are the two communications.
