Emiliano Bruner, Journal of Anatomy Best Paper Prize 2014

Emiliano Bruner, research leader of the Paleoneurology Group at the Centro Nacional de Investigación sobre la Evolución Humana (CENIEH) has received the Journal of Anatomy Best Paper Prize 2014 awarded annually by the  Anatomical Society, for a study entitled “Midsagittal brain variation and MRI shape analysis of the precuneus in adult individuals”.

For this paper, which was the cover of the Journal of Anatomy last April, the co-authors have also been awarded: Giza Rangel of Lazarus, from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili; Tarragona; Jose Manuel de la Cuétara, from the CENIEH; Manuel Martin-Loeches, from the Centro UCM-ISCIII de Evolución y Comportamiento Humanos; Robert Colom, from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, y Heidi I. L. Jacobs, from the University of Maastricht.

The prize, which rewards more than ten years of research about parietal areas, will be presented in a function at the University of Cambridge, where Emiliano Bruner has been invited to give a lecture about his work at a conference to be held next December.
