This morning the Minister for Territorial Policy and Government Spokesperson, Isabel Rodríguez García, has visited the Centro Nacional de Investigación sobre la Evolución Humana (CENIEH), and expressed the commitment of the Government of Spain to continue supporting the great work carried out by its researchers and technicians.
Accompanied by the director of the CENIEH, María Martinón Torres, the minister, together with the mayor of Burgos, Daniel de la Rosa, and the deputy delegate of the Government, Pedro de la Fuente, toured the Center's facilities, including the Conservation and Restoration Laboratory and the Computerized Microscopy and Microtomography Laboratory.
In addition, the Government spokesperson had the opportunity to enter the vault where the most important fossils of the collections housed by the CENIEH are deposited and to visit the Osteological Collection of Comparative Anatomy (COAC). Before concluding the visit, the minister recorded her time at the Center in the CENIEH signature book, declaring: "The scientific work is enormous, but above all the passion with which it is done, my appreciation to all the research and technical team.
