Andion Arteaga Brieba holds a BS in History from the University of Navarra and a MS in Archaeology from the Autonomous University of Madrid. She completed her European Doctorate in Quaternary and Prehistory at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili and IPHES (Tarragona). Her primary research interests lie in lithic technology, archaeostratigraphy and spatial analysis within Pleistocene contexts.

Andion is a member of several research teams, including those from Atapuerca (Burgos) and the Tamajón Karst (Guadalajara). Additionally, she co-leads a research project in the Abauntz cave (Navarra). Currently, Andion is a postdoctoral researcher in the DEATHREVOL project (ERC-2020-StG), led by Nohemi Sala, where she focuses on the spatial analysis of different contexts related to funerary behaviour.
